As part of Council's responsibility for monitoring and enforcing forest practices standards, an annual inspection program is carried out to assess managed forest owner compliance with the regulatory requirements.

The Annual Declaration form is now available for owners to report their harvesting, destroyed timber, road construction, road deactivation, and reforestation activities for 2023. The declaration is due May 1, 2024.

UPDATE: Will Pryhitko, Managed Forest 38, has been re-elected by acclamation for a three-year term starting July 1, 2023. One private managed forest land owner from the interior region is to be elected to Council for a three-year term beginning July 1, 2023.

Council is seeking forest professionals with a minimum of 8 years operational experience over a range of disciplines including road construction/ maintenance/ deactivation, harvesting, & silviculture to join our inspection team for the 2023 inspection year.
